The Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty team is excited to announce the official opening of their real estate business in the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica! Our team is heavily focused on the buying and selling of private, commercial, and agricultural land within Santa Teresa, Mal Pais, Montezuma, Tambor and the surrounding communities.
Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty was created by a group of passionate and driven individuals with a commitment to providing outstanding service in real estate. Our team currently includes Elizabeth and Eduardo Gomez, Noelia Morales Perera, Roy Uriarte Aguilar, as well as two additional business partners, Nyo and Rom Akerson. Elizabeth and Eduardo are a brother and sister duo with a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as a genuine enthusiasm for the real estate industry. Noelia holds an array of qualifications in business administration and years of working in communications. Roy has integrated himself in the community for over 17 years and an expertise in management. They are the perfect guides to help you find the best opportunity for your interests, whether you are a buyer or seller, and at a price that feels right.
Elizabeth Gomez is the broker for Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty. She moved from San Jose to Santa Teresa 9 years ago in order to further connect with nature and enjoy the stunning coastline. Eli holds extensive knowledge of the area and is committed to getting her clients the best possible deal. She is a keen negotiator in the real estate market and has several genuine connections to opportunities within the area. She holds a degree in Digital Photography and has become a master in the craft of architectural photography. Outside of real estate, she is a dedicated mother of two, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, an avid mountain biker, and a StrongFirst certified fitness instructor.
Eduardo Gomez is a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty. He is also originally from San Jose and has recently transitioned to the Santa Teresa area as well. Eduardo has a law degree from the Universidad Fidelitas and has practiced law for over twelve years. He has gained a vast amount of knowledge while working with the legal department of one of Costa Rica’s financial institutions, Banco de Costa Rica. During his time with Banco de Costa Rica, he focused on mortgage and development financing. His extensive experience with loan contracts and deed transfers makes him a key asset in any financing negotiation. Eduardo pairs his experience along with his exceptional communication skills and client-first mentality in providing the best representation to any deal. Outside of legal, financial, and real estate matters, Eduardo enjoys living an active lifestyle which includes mountain biking and running. He also has a passion for playing soccer and is always eager to participate in matches against peers or players within surrounding communities.
Noelia Morales Perera is a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty who was born in Alajuela and moved to Santa Teresa in April 2019. Throughout her years spent in the peninsula, she has developed a deeper connection for the environment and enjoys sharing that appreciation for this area with others. She absolutely loves nature and being near the beach! Noelia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marking from the Universidad Latina de Heredia. She plans on applying her education and expertise in various ways within the real estate industry, her clients, and Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty directly. Noelia cherishes being a part of this community and is elated to be working as a real estate agent. She looks forward to assisting others in finding their new home in Costa Rica, so they too can relish in the many beautiful facets the peninsula of Nicoya has to celebrate.
Roy Uriarte Aguilar is a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty and has lived in the Nicoya Peninsula for over 17 years. During this time, Roy has actively been a part of the development of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa areas. He has watched the peninsula’s towns grow from zero to the booming and emergent beachside destinations that you see today. With this said, you can guarantee Roy knows every inch of the area like the back of his hand and has a personal connection to the land and its expansion. He has a vast array of experience in the ever evolving hospitality industry the peninsula has to offer. His experience in management roles has helped him develop his extremely personable and genuine character, making him an excellent agent to do business with. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and has established several BJJ programs and has coached many students in the area. Roy is very excited about the opportunity to work as a Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty and is eager to begin working on finding his client’s dream deals.
Nyo and Rom Akerson are Costa Rican nationals who have been born and raised in this part of the Nicoya Peninsula. They come from a very well established family in the area who have an immense respect for the area and nature alike. Their upbringing has influenced their lifestyles and led them on paths that are heavily focused on athleticism, eco-friendly practices, healthy lifestyles, and positive community support. Nyo and Rom bring their experiences and love for growing up in this area to help with the business development of Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty.
Stream Nyo Akerson holds a heavy focus on facilitating the connection between buyers and sellers of real estate to a network of local, small businesses that are using locally sourced materials in eco-friendly ways for building and development. He advocates for business individuals who are just in their practices and pricing models. He also sees this as a key opportunity to act in the interest of the community through environmentally conscious and prosperous development.
Rom Kanga Akerson strives to share the insights he has gained from this environment with others in a supportive manner by also facilitating the right connections with the right people. As a two-time World Champion Xterra Triathlon racer and four-time National Champion of Costa Rica, Rom is inspired to use the success of Coldwell Banker Sunset Reef Realty as a way to sponsor young and upcoming athletes in the area and help guide the surrounding communities in a positive, flourishing manner.
